Bac Ninh Province today has many strengths for developing cultural and spiritual tourism thanks to its rich cultural and historical heritage, deeply rooted in Vietnamese tradition, religion, and faith. This is manifested through thousands of relics, landscapes, memorial buildings, festivals, legends, folk arts, and customs that are preserved throughout the province.

According to statistical data, there are currently 1,589 relics in Bac Ninh Province, including 204 National relics, 448 provincial relics, 17 groups of National Treasures, and 4 Special national relics. Notably, these include Dau Pagoda, But Thap Pagoda, Phat Tich Pagoda, and the Temples and Tombs of the Kings of the Ly Dynasty. Each of these relics is closely associated with special historical events and stories. For instance, the Temple and Tomb of Kinh Duong Vuong King is a place of worship for Vietnam's ancestor, known as the father of Lac Long Quan and the grandfather of the Hung Kings. The Temple and Tomb of Cao Lo Vuong are dedicated to Cao Lo Vuong General, who made significant contributions to designing and constructing Co Loa Wall and creating the Magic cross-bow for Thuc An Duong Vuong King to protect the homeland."

The Nation first Creator of military weapons; the To Pagoda, a place of worship for Buddha and Mother Buddha Man Nuong, who is considered the founder of 'Tu Phap' (four female gods in Vietnamese religion); Dau Pagoda, renowned as the Primary Buddha Center of Vietnam; the Temple and Tombs of eight Ly Kings, who established the Dai Viet civilization and founded the capital city of Thang Long – Hanoi; the Lady King Temple, dedicated to the Quan ho ancestor; Le Van Thinh Temple, where the first doctoral candidate of Vietnam is honored; and the Memorial building of Nguyen Van Cu, the youngest General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (1938-1940).

Notably, the province is the homeland of four intangible cultural heritages recognized by UNESCO on the World Cultural Heritage List. These include Bac Ninh Quan ho folk singing, Tru singing, the religion of Mother Goddess worship, and the traditional folk game 'Tug of War' in Huu Chap village. Among these, Bac Ninh Quan ho folk singing is a source of pride for the local people and is considered a distinctive cultural feature that attracts both foreign and domestic visitors. It also serves as a foundation for creating unique tourism products that showcase the advantages of the Kinh Bac region.

Bac Ninh Province hosts nearly 600 traditional festivals throughout the year. Each festival serves as a living museum of traditional culture, featuring elements of national culture with religious rituals and folk games. The traditional festivals in Bac Ninh Province are precious heritages and are major attractions for domestic and foreign travelers.

In an effort to provide tourists with information about the typical spiritual and cultural sites in Bac Ninh Province, the Center of Relics Preservation and Tourism Development is pleased to publish the book 'Bac Ninh Tourism – Special Cultural and Spiritual Sites.' We hope that this handbook will be a valuable resource for tourists exploring the Quan ho homeland."
